Ingredients

2 lbs protein of choice - chicken, sirloin tips, pork tips, etc

For the marinade:

1/2 cup onion, coarsely chopped

1/4 cup vegetable oil

2 tbsp red wine vinegar

4 cloves garlic

1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari

1 tbsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp ground coriander

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp cayenne powder

1 bay leaf, crumbled

Directions

Process all marinade ingredients in a blender for about 30 seconds or until smooth.

Slice the protein into 1-inch cubes and place into a large bowl or bag. Add the marinade and let sit in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.

Cook to your liking on the grill or oven (grill preferable).
