Mustard Ham Strata

Ingredients

12 slices day-old bread, crusts removed, cubed (~580g)

1½ cups cubed fully cooked ham (240g)

1 cup (~160g) chopped green pepper

3/4 cup (84g) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

3/4 cup (84g) monterey jack cheese, shredded

1/3 cup (~50g) onion, chopped

7 large eggs

3 cups 2% milk

1 tbsp ground mustard

salt & pepper

Directions

In a 13x9-in baking dish coated with cooking spray, layer the bread crumbs, ham, green pepper, cheese & onion.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, ground mustard, salt & pepper. Pour over top of casserole.

Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Remove strata from refrigerator 30 min before baking.

Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C).

Bake uncovered 45-50 min or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 min before cutting.
