Ingredients

200g dried prunes

200g

200g golden raisins

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 lb yellow onions, sliced into rings

Pinch of cinnamon

Large pinch of white pepper

200g walnuts

2 tbsp sesame seeds

Directions

In a large bowl, soak the dried fruit in hot water for 30 min.

In a large stock pot, heat the oil over med-high heat. Add the onions and fry until golden, stirring often.

When onions are ready, add the fruit, the steeping water, cinnamon & white pepper and cook on low for about 1 hour or until all liquid has evaporated, stirring occasionally.

Add the walnuts and cook for another 30 min.

Top with sesame seeds and serve hot.
