For the filling:
✤3 cups (~330g) gala apples, peeled & sliced
✤1 cup (~110g) cranberries (thaw if frozen)
✤1 tbsp (8g) cornstarch
✤2/3 cup maple syrup
✤1/2 tsp cinnamon
For the topping:
✤3/4 cup (75g) rolled oats
✤1/4 cup (48g) light brown sugar
✤1 tbsp (~8g) all-purpose flour
✤3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
✤1/4 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
✤1/4 tsp salt
❖Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and lightly spray a 9-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.
❖In a large bowl, combine all filling ingredients. Pour into the baking dish and even out.
❖In a separate bowl, combine all topping ingredients, then sprinkle over fruit mixture.
❖Bake uncovered 55-60 min, or until browned and bubbly.
